Look, I not only routinely had things thrown at me–including bottles, glasses and rocks–and was on the receiving end of verbal abuse to the point where it became routine (and I do mean probably upwards of 6-8 times per day), there were occasions where I was threatened with violence (often including the threat of rape) and even several times where I was physically loop in hair attacked. I’ve had cars full of guys stop so loop in hair one loop in hair of them could jump out and punch me (gee, anyone here wondering why I can sometimes be so aggressive???). Yeah, the punk guys got hassled, too, but it wasn’t in the same nonstop way. Usually with them, it was either the passing catcall or when their abusers seriously wanted a fight. “It seems that big hair in an interview doesn’t do wonders for an applicant.”
