The person being quoted is, IMO, really asking questions jobs for over 50 more on the whole nature of culture and grooming rather than jobs for over 50 how a culture treats women. On my lazier days, I certainly think that our backwards cultural constructs that mandate things like shaving, combing one’s hair, and dressing nicely are oppressive. Which is why I usually show up to class in “unkempt vagabond” mode. If, OTOH, I jobs for over 50 am going to be presenting a conference paper, I’m definitely going to give in to The Man.
