Evie...if you grow your hair long it will not look messy and terrible, just try it and see. You can always cut it shorter if you don't like it that long. For that project, I had to have ultra-long hair. My dad wouldn't let me grow it that long. When I was a 20-year old, I wanted a high-paying job, and there was some kind of unspoken rule that one could only be paid the big bucks if one kept one's hair above one's shoulders in a smooth page boy. Today, I am 50 years old; I make good money; my dad lives in another state and I don't give a damn about anybody else's advice -- I please myself.
