It's so obvious to me that she's loved very, very much. :-) Posted by: lynn at August 12, thornton 2003 11:04 AM Ky has always been ok with the washing, but the combing part (and I do it while conditioned, from the tips up and gently as I can but it still hurts/bothers her)is the most difficult part for her. thornton I have purchased books, thornton learned from others and my own mistakes, learned to do her hair (both twists and simple braids) yet always feel bad or guilty when I let her run around w/ her hair all over the place (which I do when I just want her to rest from "do's" and when she *really* does not want me messing with her hair) because I know how both she and I will be perceived. I have had to toughen up with both white people that feel it is ok to touch her hair like they would a piece of cloth they are sampling and black people that get upset the day they see her with her hair undone.
