| I don't feel the need to defend hardcore anymore. It's become such a daily part of existence that I truly don't think I'm listening to anything revolutionary and it has become "what I listen to". I don't think I'm better because free I own Integrity albums. I also don't think I have a better life because I spend most of my free free time combing used CD and record bins in Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Hardcore/punk may have changed the way I view the world but it's at the point that I hardly think that the free way I see the world is because of what I listen to but more it's just how the way I see it now. I know what I like, I know the second I hear it. It's generally played faster than what most people considered up-tempo. It's generally more pissed off than anything Good Charlotte or Godsmack or whoever could possibly be angry about. |
