Even though I have z ro pimp on song lyrics listened to popular music in the past, I didn't listen to it because it z ro pimp on song lyrics was played on the radio. I thought I owned a piece of the music that was being played for me because it became a soundtrack to life's events, either good or bad. Somewhere in my musical journey of finding what I liked and didn't like I discovered punk and it's pissed off bratty little brother, hardcore and everything was downhill from there. Sure it's cool and somewhat rebellious to listen to punk/hardcore when you are teenager and into your early twenties as you dye your hair or learn to mosh hard but once you hit your mid-twenties people tend to start fading away from hardcore and start listening to indie rock. It happens. I don't think there's a punk kid in the world that doesn't have some crisis of faith when they hit 25 and think,” Why the fuck am I listening to this shit?"
