I don't think there's a punk kid in the world that doesn't have some crisis of 50 cent faith when they hit 25 and think,ā€¯ Why the fuck am I listening to this shit?" and the next day sell their Strife records for Death Cab for Cutie. Then there's some of us that feel some sort of life long connection to punk and 50 cent hardcore, and as sad as that may be, I am one 50 cent of those people. It's too late for me to get out of hardcore because I'm far to jaded in my opinion of every other type of music out there that I feel like I would just be fooling myself into liking something more "adult" or "accessible". I rather invest my time and money into a band that is closer to being half my age playing their hearts out in some basement to 10 kids that some drug addled rock stars twice my age going through the motions of being a being a band on a fifty foot stage to over 200,000 people.

Jason's Interests I tend to think of myself as someone that isn't easily bought and sold english as a second f*cking language into a certain type of music just so I can be cooler, sexier, or more popular. Even though I have listened to popular music in the past, I didn't listen to it because it was played on the radio. I listened to it because I believe that somehow, some way it spoke to me or played some relevance to english as a second f*cking language whatever was going on in my life. I thought I owned a piece of the music that was english as a second f*cking language being played for me because it became a soundtrack to life's events, either good or bad. Somewhere in my musical journey of finding what I liked and didn't like I discovered punk and it's pissed off bratty little brother, hardcore and everything was downhill from there. Sure it's cool and somewhat rebellious to listen to punk/hardcore when you are teenager and into your early twenties as you dye your hair or learn to mosh hard but once you hit your mid-twenties people tend to start fading away from hardcore and start listening to indie rock.
