After we named it top salon in 1998, women flooded into Chreky. Then we heard dozens of complaints, mostly about the service at the overwhelmed salon. The complaints have trickled off, because the salon has made some changes, classifieds but we do occasionally hear about staff turnover and other client concerns. Despite that, the salon still gets the most votes of praise—maybe because Chreky himself is very talented. Cut: $40 and up; $75 for the first cut with Chreky, $60 thereafter. Color: $50 and up. Now that master stylist Daniel Roger has moved here from Potomac, both qualities will increase.
